Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Medina. It is the longest chapter of the Quran.

The name Al-Baqarah (the cow) comes from the story of the cow of the Bani Isra’il that is mentioned in the Surah.

The inclusiveness of the chapter with respect to Islamic beliefs and practical issues (economic, social, political, ect) is undeniable.

Numerous topics are mentioned in this chapter, including:

1- Discussions about Tawheed (monotheism) and knowing God through studying the secrets of creation.
