IQNA – A senior Yemeni official said the military operations launched by Yemeni forces against Israel will persist as long as the Zionist regime continues its genocidal war on Gaza.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a senior member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, made the remark after US and British forces launched strikes at eight different locations in Yemen, with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands.

He said such moves will fail to deter Yemen from supporting the Gaza Strip, Al-Mayadeen news website reported.

The Americans and the British must realize that the word “surrender” does not exist in the Yemeni people’s vocabulary, he underlined.

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of Ansarullah popular movement’s political bureau, also reiterated that Yemen will continue its military operations against Israel no matter the intensity of bombings against Yemen.

“Our strikes will go on as long the Israeli genocide in Gaza continue,” he stated.

In the latest US-UK attacks on Yemen, an air base north of Sana’a, the Al-Hafa Base in east of Yemen and Khashm al-Bukra Base northeast of the capital were targeted.

The latest US and UK strikes came after the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said the country’s naval units had struck an American military cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden with several missiles.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in a statement that the attack successfully targeted OCEAN Jazz, describing the strike as a victory for the oppressed Palestinian nation and a proportionate response to the American-British aggression against Yemen.
