Cleric Urges Using Opportunity of Rajab to Prepare for Ramadan
Ayatollah Ruhollah Qarehi highlighted the virtues and greatness of Rajab, the seventh month of the Islamic calendar, and said this month has been described as a stream from paradise in which one can wash himself and get ready to enter Ramadan clean and pure.
He said if one is invited to a party, he would wash and clean his body and wears his best clothes to go there.
Now that God has invited us to His great feast of Ramadan, we should be ready for that, he stated.
According to great religious figures and Hadiths, Rajab is a month for getting pure and clean from sins, Ayatollah Qarehi added.

This is done through Istighfar (repentance) and then in the next month, namely Sha’aban, one should wear the robe of Taqwa (God-fearing) so that he can go to God’s feast.
Be careful not to miss the opportunity of the month of Rajab, the senior cleric urged.
