Madagascar Youths Write Quran Verses in Itikaf Ritual

IQNA – Dozens of young Muslims in Madagascar participated in a unique event as part of the Itikaf ritual, which ended on January 26, 2024.

They wrote down two chapters of the Quran, Surahs Ad-Dhuha and Al-Inshirah, in Arabic script.

The head of the Imam Reza (AS) Complex in Antananarivo, where the Itikaf ritual was held, said the works were a "lasting artwork" for the African youths who were less familiar with Arabic.

Nine of the best writings were awarded prizes.

Itikaf is a spiritual practice in Islam that involves staying in a mosque, fasting, and praying to God for a certain number of days.
