Conference in Bangladesh to Highlight Importance of Zakat
Zakat Conference 2024 will be held on Monday at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
The MASTUL Foundation and Al Zakat Sadaqa Foundation are jointly organizing the conference.
Organizers said in a press release that the conference aims to deepen understanding, promote best practices, and encourage dialogue around Zakat, a pillar of Islam and cornerstone of Islamic philanthropy.
It will bring together scholars, community leaders, philanthropists, and individuals interested in Zakat to explore its potential to empower those in need.
They will speak on various aspects of Zakat and discuss challenges and solutions in Zakat distribution. The conference is open to the public. Interested individuals can register on the website.
The main topics of the conference will be: obligation and importance of Zakat, calculation and quantification of Zakat, modern application of Zakat, transparency and accountability in Zakat distribution, workshops for Zakat collection and distribution institutions.
