'War Crime': Israeli Soldier Shares Footage of Destroying Gaza Mosque Minaret
The Israeli soldier reportedly posted a video online of the mosque minaret’s destruction in Gaza, calling it, “Things to do when the tank crew is bored in Gaza.”
The name of the targeted mosque and the exact date of the video is not known but it has created strong backlash since it was shared by Quds News Network late on Thursday.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned that deliberate strike against the mosque as a "war crime."
"The intentional destruction of a religious structure, with no possible claim of military necessity, is just another of the countless Israeli war crimes we have witnessed in recent months," said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.
“International law and human rights norms are being delegitimized daily by the Biden administration’s complicity in the genocide, forced starvation and ethnic cleansing being carried out by Israel’s far-right government,” he added, according to the group's website.
Netizens have also slammed the attack as a user identifying as "Murad" wrote on Thursday: "If a Muslim or Palestinian were to commit such a barbaric act against a synagogue or any place of worship, the entire world would mourn the temple, condemning Muslim violence with a flood of phrases describing Muslims as terrorists and barbarians. However, here, with many videos showing Zionists destroying mosques for entertainment, there is no outcry from the world; instead, there is coverage that veils these crimes."
The Israeli regime's relentless attacks since October have left a trail of destruction in the Palestinian enclave, targeting vital infrastructure and places of worship.

The regime has not only killed tens of thousands of Palestinians, it has destroyed mosques, churches, schools, hospitals and other places as it persists in its ruthless pursuit to displace Gaza's inhabitants.
The occupying entity has pushed 85 percent of Gaza's population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while it has damaged 60 percent of the enclave's infrastructure, according to the UN.
