IQNA – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says the massive funeral processions held for late President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions across Iran demonstrated the vitality of the nation.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the statement in a Saturday meeting with the families of those who lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash last Sunday.

“Mr. Raisi did not know day and night and was in the true sense of the word tireless,” he said.

The efforts and services of both President Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian on the domestic and foreign fronts form a “detailed and extensive” narrative, he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei also hailed the activities of late Friday prayer leader of Tabriz, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Al-e-Hashem. After being appointed as the Friday imam of Tabriz, Ayatollah Ale-Hashem transformed prayer from a mere act of worship into a comprehensive spiritual and public service, added the Leader.

The funeral of these martyrs in cities like Tabriz, Qom, Tehran, Shahr Rey, Birjand, Mashhad, Maragheh, Zanjan, and Najafabad witnessed a powerful movement and uprising by the people, he said. “This grand funeral demonstrated the vitality of the Iranian nation.”

The incident proved how much the Iranian nation is close and loyal to the president and those who are manifestation of the slogans of the Islamic Revolution, he added.
