The Holy Quran differentiates the Jews who are moderate and believe in the Resurrection Day from those Jews who break their promises:
“Some of them are modest people, but many of them commit the worst sins.” (Verse 66 of Surah Al-Ma’idah)
The Quran cites many negative characteristics for the second group in history and they can be divided into religious, social, economic and political categories.
One of the negative characteristics of this group is enmity with monotheism and manifestations of divine religions. This includes various things from insulting and telling lies about God to murdering divine messengers.
For example, the Quran says about Jews’ beliefs about Qada and Qadar:
“The Jews say: ‘The Hand of Allah is chained.’ Their own hands are chained! And they are cursed for what they said! Rather, His Hands are both outstretched, He spends as He will.” (Verse 64 of Surah Al-Ma’idah)
Basically, any time there was some problem such as poverty, hunger or famine, they would attribute it to the hands of God being bound.
There are also many examples of such insults to God in their books.
Here are some examples:
“Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, as a warrior wakes from the stupor of wine.” (Psalms 78/65)
“The Lord regretted making human beings on the earth, and his heart was grieved.”(Book of Genesis, 6/6)
And some examples of enmity with religion and insulting divine prophets in their books: (Genesis, 19/31-36), (Hosea, 7-28), (Isaiah, 7-28) and (Jeremiah, 31-5).

The Quran says in Verse 70 of Surah Al-Ma’idah: “We made a covenant with the Israelites and sent Messengers to them. Whenever a Messenger came to them with a message which did not suit their desires, they would reject some of the Messengers and kill others.”
And then there was the move by Bani Isra’il to start worshipping an idol (a calf) while God had just saved them from the oppression of pharaoh:
“Moses came to you with clear signs, then you took to yourselves the calf after him and you were harmdoers.” (Verse 92 of Surah Al-Baqarah)
