The poll was conducted between May 26 and June 1, with 1,570 Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank taking part in it, Arabi 21 website reported.

Over 56 percent of the respondents said Hamas will rule the Gaza Strip after the end of the war, with only 4 percent saying the coastal enclave will be in control of the Zionist regime and 11 percent saying the Palestinian Authority (PA) will control it.

Asked who they prefer to rule Gaza, 61 percent chose Hamas, 16 percent the PA with new officials, and 6 percent the current PA officials.

The poll also showed that the majority of the Palestinian people approve of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation carried out by the Hamas fighters against the Israeli regime on October 7, 2023.

Also, 68 percent of the respondents supported Hamas’ stance prior to the occupation of the Rafah Border Crossing on being prepared to accept a ceasefire.
