Arrangements for Next Year’s Hajj to Start Soon

IQNA – Planning for next year’s Hajj will begin immediately after the success of the pilgrimage this year, an official said.

Deputy Emir of Mecca and Deputy Chairman of the Saudi Central Hajj Committee Saud bin Mishal announced on Tuesday the success of this year’s Hajj. “ I am pleased to announce the success of this year’s Hajj season and I extend my praise to God for enabling us to carry out our highest mission towards the guests of God and honoring us by serving them and facilitating the performance of the obligatory ritual in a safe and peaceful atmosphere. Praise be to God for the completion of Hajj and thanks to Him for what He has bestowed on the guests of the God in performing the rituals in ease, comfort and tranquility,” he said in a statement at the emirate’s office in Mina.

The deputy emir stated that the arrangements and planning for next year’s Hajj season will commence immediately. “The successes achieved at all levels are only the beginning of a new phase to achieve greater gains, in serving the pilgrims. God willing, work will begin immediately to arrange and plan for next year’s Hajj season. We will continue to develop the entire Hajj system,” he said.

Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca that every able-bodied and financially able Muslim is obliged to undertake at least once during their lifetime.

The annual pilgrimage is regarded as one of the pillars of Islam and the largest act of mass pilgrimage in the world.

It is also a demonstration of Muslims’ unity and their submission to Allah.
