The regime’s forces attacked the site on Saturday morning, Al Jazeera reported.
The inhumane attack comes as the Health Ministry of Gaza reported on Saturday that the ongoing offensive has claimed the lives of at least 37,834 Palestinians since last October and has injured 86,858 others.
The ministry's latest statement disclosed that 40 individuals were killed and 224 were injured in the past day alone.
The statement also highlighted the challenges faced by rescue teams who are struggling to reach those trapped under debris and scattered along roadways.
UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric commented on the situation, noting that a new Israeli ground offensive in the Shujayea neighborhood of Gaza City has displaced at least 60,000 residents.

Additionally, military operations in the southern Gaza area of al-Mawasi have led to the displacement of 5,000 individuals and numerous casualties.
Overnight strikes on residential areas in Gaza City have resulted in the deaths of six people, including four children, and injuries to at least 15 others.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa also reported casualties following an attack on the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Israel launched the aggression on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.
