Quran Memorization Centers in Jordan Begin Summer Courses
It said there are a total of 152 Quranic centers active in Jordan in summer, Ad-Dustur website reported.
According to the ministry, 92 centers are for girls and the other 60 for boys.
Their Quran education activities will continue until late August, it noted.
In addition to memorization, the courses feature interpretation of the Holy Quran and lessons on recitation, Lahn, and Tajweed.
They are aimed at raising a generation familiar with the teachings of the Holy Book.

The ministry supervises the centers’ activities to make sure the quality of the Quranic education is acceptable.
The Awqaf ministry of Jordan has in recent years developed its Quranic activities, organizing various Quranic courses and national and international competitions, and sending Quran reciters and memorizers to international Quranic events.
