Over A Million Pilgrims Visit Prophet’s Mosque since Start of Hajj Season

IQNA – The number of those visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in Median, Saudi Arabia, since the beginning of the Hajj season has exceeded one million.

This is according to the General Presidency for the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, which added that efforts have been made to provide the best services to the guests of God (Hajj pilgrims), the Saudi state news agency reported. 

There has been a comprehensive plan implemented to ensure a safe atmosphere for them, it added.

All the available facilities have been used to implement the plan in coordination with other bodies active in running the affairs of Hajj, it went on to say.     

The presidency said that as part of the plan, the operation to clean and disinfect the mosque is carried out five times a day, covering all parts of the holy site.

There are also special services provided to the disabled and elderly pilgrims and worshippers at the mosque, it noted.

These measures are aimed at ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for the visitors, who come to perform prayers and pay their respects at the holy site, the presidency stated.
