Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Bin Hasan officiated at a launching ceremony at the Foreign Ministry in the capital Kuala Lumpur.

The ambassadors of Palestine and Jordanian attended, the Ministry wrote on X.

The Ministry noted with gratitude that 456,874.55 Malaysian Ringgits ($96.79 million) have been donated in a “collaborative effort” by the government and NGOs.

The Israeli regime, flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7, 2023 retaliatory attack by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

Nearly 38,000 Palestinians have since been killed, mostly women and children, and around 87,300 others injured as a result of Israel’s genocidal attacks, according to local health authorities.
