Teenage Students Hold ‘Ahli Min Al-Asal’ Mourning in Over 400 Regions Across Iran

The mourning, which can be translated as "sweeter than honey," took place on Thursday with thousands of students participating in various locations.

This year marks the twelfth anniversary of the ceremony, which is held in memory of Hazrat Qasim ibn al-Hassan (AS), the teenage martyr of Karbala. Students participate to show their commitment to Hazrat Qasim (AS).

In Tehran, the ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini with the presence of students and education officials.

Additionally, a campaign has been launched featuring themes such as poetry, podcasts, eulogies, documentaries, and calligraphy.

Students can participate in these campaigns until August 25, which coincides with Arbaeen. A total of 114 participants in the mourning campaign will be honored.

Qasim ibn al-Hassan, the son of Imam Hassan (AS), supported his uncle, Imam Hussein (AS), during the Battle of Karbala and was killed at the age of 13. On the day of Ashura, Qasim asked his uncle, "Will I also be among the martyrs?" Imam Hussein (AS) replied, "How do you see death?" Qasim responded, "O uncle, death to me is sweeter than honey."
