Cave Hira to Be Accessible Via Cable Car by 2025: Report

This initiative aims to enhance the pilgrimage experience, facilitating easier access to this historically and religiously significant site, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation.

The cable car will ascend to the Cave of Hira, situated at an altitude of approximately 634 meters and about 4 kilometers from the Grand Mosque.

This project is part of a broader plan that includes the completion of the Hira Cultural District and the inauguration of three new museums in Jabal Omar in the same year, according to Saudi media outlets.

Jabal Al Noor, known for its distinctive camel hump-like shape and steep slopes, holds deep significance for Muslims due to the cave's historical importance.

Additionally, the Mount Thor Cultural District, an integrated neighborhood offering various services, is also set to launch in 2025.
