A Muslim does not take these actions by force, but because of his presence in society and the commandment given by God.
Social responsibility is a kind of moral and community obligation that people have towards their fellow human beings.
Based on this responsibility, one should do a series of actions in the interest of the society.
In social life, the economic, cultural and ideological destinies of people are interconnected, and the actions and behavior of each person affect other members of society in different areas.
As a result, people in a society are responsible for each other’s behavior and actions.
Based on the teachings of Islam, social responsibility consists of a series of behaviors and actions that people do for their fellow human beings.
A Muslim does not take these actions by force, but because of his presence in society and the commandment given by God.
These actions constitute a wide range based on the verses of the Quran, ranging from a sense of responsibility towards family and relatives to a sense of responsibility towards all members of society.
In Islamic thought, a Muslim should not remain indifferent to any shortcoming, problem or deficiency in social issues and human relations, but should try to address them.

One example of such social responsibility, according to the Quran, is feeling committed to orphans and the poor. God says in Verse 34 of Surah Al-Isra: “Do not get close to the property of the orphans (unless it is for a good reason) until they are mature and strong. Keep your promise; you will be questioned about it.”
The social responsibility regarding orphans is so important that some Quran interpreters say that Surah Al-Maoun forms a strong bond between faith in God, serving orphans, the poor and the prisoners of war, and the acceptance of Salah.
This indicates that true faith and religiosity are dependent on paying attentions to the society and trying to remove the needs of one’s fellow human beings. If one remains indifferent to others in society, his faith, Salah and acts of worship are not genuine because they lack the element of compassion and helping others.
Another example of social responsibility in the Quran is the issue of Tawasi, which means giving advice. The Quran in many verses calls on Muslims to do Tawasi and invite one another to issues like patience and (upholding) the truth.
Tawasi helps to strengthen the resolve and motivation of others when they are facing difficulties and their determination is weak.
All in all, the issue of social responsibility has been given special attention in Islam, and this emphasis on caring for others and for society may be one of the reasons for the continuation and survival of the religion.
