Despite the ongoing Israeli genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, residents remain committed to an annual tradition of reciting the Quran.
In this initiative, a number of Quran memorizers, divided into male and female groups, complete the Quran from dawn to sunset in a single session.
The first phase of the initiative was held two years ago by the Gaza House of Quran and Sunnah, with 581 male and female Quran memorizers participating.
The event received widespread coverage in Arab and Islamic countries.
With the launch of the second phase, around 3,200 male and female Quran memorizers registered last year.
After initial tests, 1,471 of these memorizers were selected to participate in the Khatm Quran session.
