Yemeni National Salvation Government’s Interior Minister Ahmad al-Ali made the remark in an interview with IQNA on the sidelines of the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference, which was held in Tehran earlier this month.
He said the Yemeni has strived to support Palestine and the people of the Gaza Strip who have been facing the Israeli regime’s atrocities and crimes on a daily basis.
Since the start of the Zionist regime’s war on the Gaza Strip in October last year, the Yemeni Armed Forces have attacked targets in the occupied Palestinian territories as well as Israeli or Israeli-bound vessels in the Red Sea in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have said that they won’t stop their attacks until unrelenting Israeli ground and aerial attacks in Gaza end.
Elsewhere in his remarks, al-Ali said he was happy to partake in the Islamic Unity Conference, hoping that such events would lead to the strengthening of unity in the Muslim world.
He said the Muslim Ummah is one nation and there are no major differences among Islamic schools of thought.
Minor differences should not lead to discord and disunity in the Ummah, he underlined.
The Yemeni minister added that the Muslim world should adopt unified stances on the Islamic world’s issues, including the issue of Palestine, in order to serve the interests of the Ummah.
