Islamic Resistance Harbinger of Change in ME: Hezbollah Deputy Chief
Delivering his second speech after the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, Sheikh Naim Qassem said the presence and activities of the Islamic resistance heralded changes in the region.
Referring to the martyrdom of Nasrallah, he said the sadness over the loss is indescribable but Hezbollah continues to get inspiration from its late leader.
“We are the children of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, the master of the martyrs of resistance,” he said.
Sheikh Qassem also pointed to the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, which was launched by the Hamas resistance movement against the Israeli regime on October 7, 2023, and hailed the heroic operation as a blessed confrontation with the enemy and the right path for change.
He said the crimes that the Zionist regime has been committing since then are unprecedented in history.
It has been massacring children, women, the elderly and medical teams and destroying hospitals, homes, streets, etc, in the Gaza Strip, he noted.
The Hezbollah official underlined that the US and European countries are accomplices in Israeli atrocities.
He said despite all these crimes, Tel Aviv have failed to achieve its main goal, which is to destroy the resistance and dissuade the people of Palestine from pursuing their rights.
He described the resistance of Gaza as epical, saying the people of the Palestinian enclave have resisted against the Zionist attacks for one year and continue to resist.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Qassem referred to Iran’s two missile attacks on Israel in April and on October 1, known as Operation True Promise I and Operation True Promise II, and said they proved that Iran is determined to keep supporting the resistance.
He also praised the stances of Yemen and Iraq in support of the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
