The participants voiced support for the people of Lebanon and Palestine in the face of the Israeli regime’s onslaughts, stressing that the regime’s crimes could never break the resistance and its supporters.
They called for international intervention to put an end to the Zionists’ crimes in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
They also denounced the recent insulting move against Iraq’s top Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani.
Abu Ala al-Wilaei, secretary general of Sayyid al-Shuhada Battalions, addressed the rally, saying the religious authority is a red line crossing which will cost the Zionist occupiers dearly.
It came after the Israeli right-wing Channel 14 published a photo of Ayatollah Sistani as part of a list of potential assassination targets, drawing the anger of the Iraqi people and officials, with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani saying that it represents “an offense to the feelings of Muslims worldwide,” and that it is overstepping boundaries.
Al-Wilaei further said the resistance front has managed to defeat the Zionist enemy despite its advanced weapons.

He also said the Lebanese resistance movement has become stronger after the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah.
He noted that the Islamic resistance in Iraq has also carried out operations inflicting major losses on the Zionist enemy.
