Registration Launched for Turkey’s TV Quran Contest

IQNA – The registration process has begun in Turkey for a competition on the most beautiful Tarteel recitation of the Holy Quran.

According to Diyanet Haber website, the main round of the contest will be held in the holy month of Ramadan (February-March 2025). 

The Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) will organize the event in cooperation with the TRT television network.

Only men can take part in the contest and the minimum age for the contenders is 15.

Quran reciters from Turkey and other countries may apply for participation either individually or in groups of two or more qaris.

Those willing to take part in the Quranic event should register their name via the website www.trt1tilavet.com by January 15, 2025, and then submit a video file of their recitation via WhatsApp in two days.  

During the holy month of Ramadan, various Quranic activities, including Quran competitions at different levels, are held in Muslim countries.
