IQNA – An exhibition focusing on the calligraphy of the Holy Quran has opened in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.

Iraq’s Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities inaugurated a special Quran calligraphy exhibition on Monday, October 21.

The event, titled "Quranic Calligraphy," is organized by the Iraqi Public Arts Department in collaboration with the Islamic Arts Institute "Ibn Bawwab."

According to Alsumaria News, the exhibition brings together 30 calligraphers from various provinces across Iraq, showcasing their work in writing Quranic pages in the traditional Iraqi style. These artists have gathered to display their unique skills in the art of Quranic calligraphy.

The minister called on Iraq’s Shia and Sunni endowment organizations to support projects related to the transcription of the Quran, even in limited quantities, so that these works can be displayed at periodic exhibitions.
