Indonesian Quran Interpreter Praises Role of Iranian Scholars in Islamic Civilization

IQNA – An Indonesian Mufasir (Quran interpreter) the brilliant history of Iran in sciences, including Tafisr, and in helping the Islamic civilization flourish.

Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s (ICRO) International Quran and Propagation Center Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neyshabouri and Indonesian Mufasir (Quran interpreter) Quraish Shihab meet in Jakarta.

 

Speaking in a meeting with head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s (ICRO) International Quran and Propagation Center Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neyshabouri in Jakarta, Quraish Shihab described Iranian scholars’ role in Islamic civilization as outstanding.

Shihab has written an interpretation of the Quran titled Al-Misbah in 15 volumes.  

 He also praised great Iranian figures in the field of Quran interpretation, especially Allameh Mohammad Hossein Tabatabaei, the author of Al-Mizan Exegesis of the Holy Quran.

At the meeting, Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Neyshabouri underlined the Quranic capacities of Islamic Iran and elaborated on the works written in the field of Quran interpretation in the country after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

He referred to the publication of ten volumes of Quran interpretation by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and described it as a sign of how Iran attaches importance to the Holy Book.

The two also discussed approaches and methods of interpretation of the Quran and stressed development of Quranic cooperation and interaction between Iran and Indonesia.

Heading a delegation of Iranian Quranic officials and activists, Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Neyshabouri had visited Malaysia before traveling to Indonesia.
