Hezbollah Martyr Saffiedine Commemorated

IQNA – A memorial service was held in Tehran on Thursday for Sayed Hashem Safieddine, head of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement’s Executive Council who was martyred earlier this month.

Sayed Hashem Safieddine, head of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement’s Executive Council, was martyred in an Israeli attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut on October 3, 2024.

 

Organized at the Imam Sadiq (AS) Mosque in the city’s Palestine Square, it was attended by a number of senior Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Mohammad Mokhber, and Intelligence Minister Seyed Esmail Khatib. 

There were also people from all walks of life attending the commemoration.

They carried the flags of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Palestine and Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah and chanted slogans in condemnation of the Israeli regime’s crimes in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

They reiterated their strong support for the axis of resistance.

Head of the Committee for Supporting the Islamic Revolution of the People of Palestine Hojat-ol-Islam Hassan Akhtari and a brother of Martyr Safieddine delivered speeches at the event.
