Iran’s Support for Resistance Legitimate, Moral, Logical: Army Chief

IQNA – The commander of Iran’s Army described the country’s backing for Islamic resistance as legitimate, vowing that it will continue till the end.

“Our support for the resistance front and the people of Palestine and the Gaza Strip is legal, human, legitimate, logical, moral and revolutionary and we will continue (supporting them) until the end,” Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi said in an address to a congregation of Basij forces, held Sunday on the occasion of the Basij Week 

He said resistance is the main defense against the oppressive enemies and the world arrogance, adding that resistance is not limited to the military sphere but exists in all components of power.

Referring to the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, carried out by Gaza resistance forces against the Israeli regime on October 7, 2023, the general said the operation divided the history of the world to before and after October 7, making even the most unbelieving individuals realize that the Zionist regime would not exist in 25 years.  

The senior commander also underlined the role of the media in drawing nations’ attention to the issue of Palestine, saying the Zionist regime and its media mafia are seeking to pretend they have achieved victory in the war while the truth is something else.

After the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, the world’s deafening silence about the issue of Palestine was broken and the issue of normalization with Israel ended in failure, he said.

The Zionist regime and its master, the United States, cannot make up for the outcomes of the operation, he stated.  

Major General Mousavi further hailed the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) arrest warrants issued against Israeli regime officials and described teh ruling as very important.
