Tanzania to Hold Its 21st Int'l Quran Recitation Competition

IQNA – The 21st International Quran Recitation Competition in Tanzania will take place this March in Dar es Salaam.

Organized by the Khidmatulquran Islamic Foundation, the event will commence on March 15 in Dar es Salaam.

Participants from Lebanon, South Africa, Pakistan, Malaysia, Yemen, Mali, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, and Morocco will be attending.

This year, the special guest will be Sheikh Yassir Al-Sharqawi, a renowned Egyptian qari.

The competition is considered the most prestigious international Quran recitation event in Tanzania and East Africa.

Aiming to promote Quranic culture and knowledge in Tanzania, the non-profit organization has organized various Quranic activities, including national and international Quran competitions in recent years.

Last year, Sheikh Mahmood Shahat Anwar was a guest of the institute, and his recitations received significant attention from the Muslim community in Tanzania.
