UAE Opens Registration for 11th Tahbeer Quranic Award

IQNA – The registration has opened for the 11th edition of Holy Quran Tahbeer and Its Sciences Award with the competition set to be held virtually in the United Arab Emirates.

 

According to the news outlet "Al-Ain," Omar Habtour Al-Darei, Secretary of the Al-Tahbeer Quranic Sciences Award, announced that the competition is being held virtually and is open to all age groups.

"The competition includes various categories such as Quran recitation and tajweed, the most beautiful tarteel, Quranic concepts, adhan, sermon, and cultural competitions, including family values," he stated.

Al-Darei added, "Emirati citizens, residents in the UAE, and interested participants from outside the UAE can register on the official website www.tahbeer.ae. After filling out the registration form, they can submit a video clip of their performance, which should not exceed three minutes."

He also mentioned that participants can send their video clips via WhatsApp to the number 00971545509914. The clips can be in various categories such as Quran recitation and tajweed, Quranic concepts, the most beautiful tarteel, and adhan.

Highlighting a new addition to this year's competition, Al-Darei said, "The 'Family Values' category has been introduced. The Al-Tahbeer Award aims to strengthen national identity and provide opportunities for families to teach the Quran to their children, promote values and proper behavior, reject extremism, and instill respect for others and adherence to good principles and positive citizenship in society."

8731 participants from 102 countries attended the 2024 edition of the competition last year, according to organizers.

The final judging of this year's event will begin on the first day of Ramadan and the closing ceremony is set for the last 10 days of the holy month.
