IQNA – A Lebanese expert said holding Iran’s International Quran Competition in the holy city of Mashhad was a convergence of the light of faith and the Quran, and a manifestation of the Hadith of Thaqalayn.

Lebanese expert Joziana Elitama served as a Tajweed judge in the women section of Iran’s 41st International Quran Competition, which concluded in Mashhad on Friday, January 31.

She told IQNA that holding competitions in such a sacred place creates a more spiritual atmosphere during the events.

“This creates a wonderful atmosphere that brings together the light of faith and the light of the Holy Quran, embodying the well-known Hadith of Thaqalayn, which states that the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS are inseparable.”

She added that the contest was a major event that demonstrated the unity of the Islamic community under the guidance of the Holy Quran.

“The Quranic event is not merely a competition for reciting the Quran. It also brings the hearts of Muslims closer together and helps in spreading Quranic knowledge worldwide.”

The International Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is annually organized by the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
