‘Theology of Arbaeen’ Theme of Int’l Conference in Qom
The theology of Arbaeen will be the theme of this edition, which will take place at the University of Qom.
Iran’s Academic Center for Culture, Education and Research (ACECR), the University of Qom, the Arbaeen Cultural and Educational Committee, and Iraq’s Academics Assembly will cooperate in organizing the event.
Philosophy, theology and mysticism; Arbaeen and the theology of law and economics; Arbaeen and the theological jurisprudence; ethics and education; media and technology; and culture, art and literature are among the themes of this conference.
Those willing can submit an abstract paper on the theme of the conference by February 10, 2025 and send their full papers to by Admission@qom.ac.ir by March 10.

Arbaeen is a religious event observed by Shia Muslims on the fortieth day after the Day of Ashura, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the third Shia imam.
It is one of the largest annual pilgrimages in the world, with millions of Shia Muslims walking to Karbala from various cities in Iraq and neighboring countries. This year, the day of Arbaeen falls on August 15.
