IQNA – The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas reaffirmed its stance against US President Donald Trump’s call for relocation of people from Gaza.

The movement in a statement called Trump’s remarks on Gaza racist and an invitation to ethnic cleansing.

The goal of his remarks is the destruction of the Palestinian issue and the denial of the inalienable national rights of the Palestinian people, it said, according to Palestine Info.

The plot to force Palestinians out of the Gaza Strip will never succeed and will face a united stance from Palestinians and the Arab and Islamic world, it added.

The great nation of Palestine in the Gaza Strip has stood firm against bombings and aggressions and will continue to remain steadfast in their land, thwarting all plans of expulsion and forced displacement from this region, Hamas stressed.

What the occupiers failed to achieve through genocide and aggression will never be achieved via such plots to expel Palestinians from their land, the statement added.

Hamas also said it will remain committed to the ceasefire agreement as long as the Israeli regime is committed to it.

It also warned that the Zionist regime will be accountable for any delay or obstruction in the implementation of the ceasefire deal.

Trump said on Sunday he was “committed to buying and owning Gaza”. He had previously called for the relocation of the people of Gaza to countries like Jordan and Egypt.
