In a statement on Monday, a day after a massive funeral was held in Lebanon for the two martyrs, the council stressed that the path of dignity and resistance against the global arrogance will continue to be well-trodden, and the flag of resistance will remain raised with the steadfast determination of Islam’s fighters.

It described Nasrallah as an exceptional leader and brave commander for Hezbollah and a unique and inspiring role model for all of those struggling on the path of the truth all over the world.

With his strong faith in God, his determination and his judiciousness, Nasrallah turned Hezbollah into the symbol of dignity and resistance against the world arrogance and thwarted all enemy plots powerfully, the statement added.

It also noted that Nasrallah remained committed to the lofty causes of resistance and the liberation of al-Quds until the last moment of his life.

The council added that Safieddine was also actively present in all of the scenes of jihad and struggle against oppression, injustice and arrogance and served as an honest helper and strong arm for the fighters of Islam.

“… We pledge to continue the two dear martyrs’ proud path with a strong determination and not to back down until reaching the peaks of dignity and victory.”
