Al-Quds People Bid Farewell to Al-Aqsa Mosque Quran Reciter

IQNA – A large number of Palestinians took part in a funeral held in the holy city of al-Quds on Monday for a Quran reciters of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sheikh Daud Attaullah Siam

 

Sheikh Daud Attaullah Siam, who was also known as a senior scholar in the city, passed away on Sunday at the age of 95.

Born in the town of Silwan, near the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Siam began reciting the Quran at the mosque some 70 years ago.

He was known for his beautiful voice and his unique style of Quran recitation.

In addition to his role as a Quran reciter, he served as a legal advisor for al-Quds people.

He provided counsel and guidance on legal matters related to marriage, divorce, and religious rulings, helping to raise religious awareness and support the people of the holy city.

Siam was also renowned for his dedication and selflessness in serving Al-Aqsa Mosque and the people of al-Quds, which earned him great respect and affection from the community.

After the participants in the funeral performed the Salat al-Janazah (funeral prayer) at Al-Aqsa Mosque, his body was laid to rest at Bab al-Rahma Cemetery.
