Israeli Forces Raid Al-Aqsa Mosque Preacher’s Home

IQNA – As Israeli attacks on different parts of the West Bank continue for the 30th consecutive day, regime forces have raided the home of Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Ekrima Sabri.

According to Wafa news agency, the forces searched the house search and interrogated the cleric.

They also posted a summons was on the door for his attendance at a hearing regarding his deportation.

In August last year, after Sheikh Sabri prayed for former Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh and offered condolences on his martyrdom, Israeli regime forces arrested him and later released him while banning him from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sabri is a staunch critic of the decades-long Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. He had previously held the position of mufti of al-Quds and the Palestinian territories from 1994 to 2006.

Meanwhile, on the 30^th day of Israeli raids in the northern parts of the West Bank, the regime forces attacked parts of Tulkarm, Nablus and Al-Khalil.

A Palestinian youth was injured in Bita, south of Nablus, as a result of occupation forces’ attacks.

The Zionist forces also raided Bait Rima, northwest of Ramallah, arresting a number of Palestinians.

During the raid, intense clashes erupted between Zionist forces and Palestinians.
