Al-Azhar Chief Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb

In his message, posted on X, Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb congratulated leaders and nations of Muslim and Arab countries on arrival of Ramadan.

He urged Muslims not to forget their Palestinian brothers, Arabi21 reported.

During these blessed days, take a moment to pray for the Palestinian people and ask God to grant them victory over their enemies and to establish them alongside their families in their homeland, he said in the message.

Al-Tayeb also prayed that God would protect the Palestinians from the evil plots to relocate them from Gaza hatched by those who do not understand the meaning of patriotism and belonging to one’s homeland.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, and Somalia are among the countries in which Ramadan began on Saturday.
