Int’l Quran Exhibition in Tehran Starts Welcoming Visitors

IQNA – The 32nd edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition began welcoming visitors after an official inauguration ceremony.

Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Reza Arbab Soleimani cut the ribbon to officially open the 32nd edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla on March 5, 2025.

 

A number of Quranic, religious and political officials, attended the ceremony at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla on Wednesday evening. 

It began with the playing of Iran’s national anthem, followed by recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by prominent qari Seyed Jasem Mousavi.

Then a clip featuring the preparations for the expo was played, after which Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Reza Arbab Soleimani, the Quran and Etrat deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the director of the exhibition, took the podium.

He appreciated the contributions of Quranic mangers and activists of Iran and other countries to the organization of the expo.

He said there ae 37 sections in this year’s exhibition, 28 of which are run by various institutes.

Referring to the participation of 15 countries in the international section, he said efforts will be made to promote the issue of Quranic diplomacy in this section.

This year, nine new works featuring subjects related to the Quran and Etrat will be unveiled at the expo, he said, adding that there will also be 58 specialized forums as well as 26 expert sessions.

On one of the last days of the exhibition, the 30th ceremony to honor Quran activists will be held with the participation of the Iranian president, he noted.

Hojat-ol-Islam Arbab Soleimani also said that in this edition, special attention is paid to Etrat (teachings of Infallible Imams) and the Islamic resistance.

“Our efforts at exhibitions, competitions, and every other Quranic event are aimed at bringing our work and activities one step closer to the Quran, contemplating its teachings, and making the Quran our guiding leader. If this endeavor (the exhibition) takes place during the month of Ramadan, it is because Ramadan is a month of opportunity and personal development. Therefore, we take the subject of the Quran seriously during this time.”

Culture Minister Seyed Abbas Salehi and senior cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard also addressed the opening ceremony.

The exhibition will run until March 16, 2025. Those willing to visit the Quranic event can go to the Imam Khomeini Mosalla every day from 4 PM to 11 PM.

This year’s exhibition features a variety of programs, including specialized sessions, educational workshops, Quranic gatherings, and special activities for children and teenagers.

The 32nd edition spans approximately 20,000 square meters, accommodating 37 content and operational sections.

The exhibition is held every year in the holy month of Ramadan by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

It is aimed at promoting the concepts of the Quran and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
