Speaking to IQNA on the sidelines of his visit to the 32nd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition, Abbas Salimi hailed the scale of the event, equating it to national and international Quran competitions.
“If one looks at this event with expertise and fairness, it becomes clear that countless dedicated individuals work tirelessly to provide Quranic services to the public,” he said.
The exhibition opened on Wednesday and will run until March 16 every day from 4 PM to 11 PM (local time) at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla.

Salimi noted that the exhibition’s main objective is to invite people to engage with the Quran and follow its teachings. However, he pointed out that the limited time and space of the event pose challenges. “Many participants express that the current setup is not enough to fully meet their needs,” he added.
The qari suggested establishing a permanent Quranic complex in Tehran, using available land to host Quran-related exhibitions, competitions, and seminars throughout the year. “Such a space would provide a dedicated venue for scholars, researchers, and authors to gather and discuss various Quranic topics,” he explained.
“We regularly witness military exercises showcasing a nation's defense capabilities. The importance of the Quran exhibition and similar cultural initiatives is no less significant. In fact, this event serves as the largest cultural maneuver, strengthening our cultural resilience each time it is held,” he said.
Salimi also stressed the need to expand the exhibition’s international section, inviting more scholars and Quranic figures from across the Islamic world. “With greater global participation, this exhibition could become a leading Quranic hub for the entire Muslim world.”
