IQNA – An Italian professor has praised 32nd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition for fostering connections among Muslims, emphasizing its role in strengthening global ties and facilitating knowledge exchange.

Professor Chiara Sebastiani

Speaking to IQNA on the sidelines of the exhibition, University of Bologna Professor Chiara Sebastiani noted that Muslims worldwide face unique challenges depending on their local contexts. Platforms like this exhibition, she said, provide an opportunity for them to connect and support one another.

"It is very important for Muslim communities in different countries to share their experiences and also to share the specific needs of their community," she said. "Muslims in every country have different needs and problems."

The professor highlighted the situation in Italy, where the Muslim community is relatively small and recent. “From Italy, we are a small and recent community. So it is very important to be able to get in contact with Muslim countries and draw from their experiences," she explained.

She also underscored the exhibition’s broader significance as a platform for fostering dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation among Muslims globally.

"I think one of the important roles of this kind of exhibition is exactly this: the possibility to know each other, exchange experiences, and have reciprocal support," she said.

The exhibition opened on Wednesday and will run until March 16 every day from 4 PM to 11 PM (local time) at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla.

This year’s exhibition features a variety of programs, including specialized sessions, educational workshops, Quranic gatherings, and special activities for children and teenagers.
