Islamic Jihad Urges Muslim Scholars to Confront West, Zionist Plots

IQNA – The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement’s representative in Iran called on Muslims and the Islamic world’s scholars to wake up and stand against the plots hatched by the Zionist regime and the West.

Nasser Abu Sharif was addressing a large gathering of people at the Jamkaran Mosque in Iran’s holy city of Qom on Tuesday evening.

The gathering was held to condemn the Zionist regime’s atrocities and to pay for the liberation of the people of the Gaza Strip and annihilation of the Israeli regime.

Abu Sharif warned that the Western and Zionist plots are not aimed only at Palestine but they seek to destroy the entire Muslim Ummah.

“We have witnessed 18 months of oppression, massacre, genocide, hunger and thirst in Gaza. It’s been 44 days without water, food and medicine in Gaza,” he said.

“This world is not a just and fair world but it is a world in which a maniac like (US President Donald) Trump manages it and the world Zionism defends (how it is being run) and all leaders of Arab countries have remained silent over (the massacre in Gaza).”

The world did nothing for Gaza in the past 18 month and many, including some Arab countries, even aided the Zionist regime in committing its crimes, he deplored.

It was only the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the people of Yemen that stood with the people of Yemen who supported Gaza.

Today’s gathering is not just a march and a rally, it is a pledge, a promise and a message to the world and (a message of support) to the people of Gaza, he went on to say.
