Sheikh Muhammed Hussein said Eid al-Adha falls on Friday, June 6, Maan news agency reported.
He said the Eid prayers will be performed at 6:05 AM.
The cleric urged people to visit the families of the martyrs and prisoners, the wounded and the needy, and called on the well-to-do Muslims to perform the ritual animal sacrifice.
Through these acts, people draw closer to Almighty God, as these acts strengthen the bonds between family, relatives, and kin, and help meet the needs of the poor and the needy, he stated.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is a major religious holiday in Islam, celebrated on the 10th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
