The clerics of Najaf describe the U.S. threats as "shameless" and "brazen," labeling Ayatollah Khamenei as a symbol of resistance and dignity for the Islamic Ummah in contemporary times.
In an unprecedented and reckless move, President Trump has made direct threats against Ayatollah Khamenei, which the seminary views as not only an affront to a prominent religious figure but also as an attack on the principles and sanctities of the entire Islamic community.

They stated that "this vile behavior reveals the true face of the U.S. hegemonic system, which not only ignores human principles and the dignity of nations but also embarks on a path to humiliate the sacred values of the Islamic Ummah."
The seminary emphasized that Shia religious authority is not merely a political figure but rather a symbol of guidance, unity, and the awakened conscience of the Islamic Ummah in countries such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain, Pakistan, and beyond.
They warned that any assault on this esteemed religious leadership equates to a declaration of war against the entire Islamic community and a blatant betrayal of the values of our monotheistic civilization.
