Iraq’s Top Shia Cleric Condemns Any Threat against Ayatollah Khamenei
The office of Ayatollah Sistani issued a statement on Wednesday, warning that the Israeli regime’s criminal actions will have grave consequences for the entire region:
“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The supreme religious authority in Holy Najaf (Ayatollah Sistani) once again strongly condemns the continuation of military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and any threats or attempts against the country’s supreme religious and political leadership.
He firmly warns that any such criminal actions, apart from blatantly violating religious and moral principles as well as explicit international norms and laws, will have extremely grave consequences for the entire region. Such acts may lead to a complete loss of control, resulting in widespread chaos that would increase the suffering of the region’s people and severely endanger everyone’s interests.
We strongly urge all influential international bodies and world governments, particularly Islamic nations, to make every effort to halt this unjust war and seek a peaceful and just resolution to Iran’s nuclear dossier based on international law.”
