Tent at Qom Holy Shrine to Host Muharram Mourning Ceremonies for Girls
The tent will be set up from Thursday, June 26 to Friday, July 4, from 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM in the Hazrat Zahra (SA) Shabestan, Imam Hadi (AS) Courtyard of the holy shrine.
Girls of high school age will be welcomed at the tent during the mourning events.
They commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions in the 680 AD Battle of Karbala.
Shia Muslims, and others in different parts of the world, hold ceremonies every year in Muharram to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions.

The third Shia Imam (AS) and a small group of his followers and family members were martyred by the tyrant of his time - Yazid Bin Muawiya, in the battle of Karbala on the tenth day of Muharram (known as Ashura) in the year 680 AD.
This year, the month of Muharram will start on Friday, June 27, and the day of Ashura will fall on July 6.
