Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Sacred Places Muhammad Al-Khalilah said at a press conference that centers have begun their activities with the slogan “Hand in hand, let’s protect future generations from drugs”.

He said that these activities have coincided with the students’ summer vacation.

The goal of the Quran memorization summer centers is to raise generations familiar with Quranic ethics in speech and action, and to keep them away from drugs and their dangers and harms, he stated.

The centers are safe places to support young people and connect them with the Quran, and will have a significant impact on spreading good character and developing divine piety among them, he said.

Al-Khalilah further noted that the summer Quran centers for boys will be active on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and for girls on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays, and the courtyards of mosques and Quran centers will be the venues for summer Quran classes.
