114 Quranic Gatherings Planned across Iran to Commemorate ‘Martyrs of Power’
Martyrs of Power are those martyred in the recent aggression launched against the Islamic Republic of Iran by the Israeli regime.
Morteza Khedmatkar, an official with the Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, told IQNA that cities in different parts of the country will host the programs.
Emphasizing the active and prominent role of the provincial Quranic groups in holding these gatherings, Khedmatkar said the sessions are held through the efforts of the provincial Quranic institutions and grassroots institutions.
In the planning, it was emphasized that the capacity of grassroots institutions should be used in holding the gatherings so that the popular spirit of the gatherings is well preserved, he stated.
Each province has been allocated a quota based on the specific conditions of that region and the martyrs who fought in the 12-day imposed war, he noted.
“The Quranic gatherings will be held on Thursday, July 10, with the enthusiastic presence of the country’s Quranic community and the general public at the shrine of the martyrs of power.”
According to the official, the time of holding the gatherings has been left to the provinces to choose the appropriate time according to the climatic and local conditions.
“In most provinces, considering that Thursday afternoon is the customary time to visit the martyrs’ graves, the time of holding the gatherings is considered to be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In provinces such as Tehran and Isfahan, the time of these gatherings will be before noon.”

He expressed hope that with the extensive cooperation of all Quranic groups, these magnificent gatherings will be held in a worthy manner and that the Quranic community of the country will be able to showcase its firm stance against the Zionist regime’s crimes and atrocities in these gatherings.
“Expressing firm support for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the country's armed forces, as well as paying tribute to the martyrs of power and honoring the families of the martyrs, are among the goals of these Quranic gatherings.”
They are held in cooperation and synergy with all Quranic activists and organizations in the country to reflect the camaraderie and solidarity of the Quranic community throughout Iran, he went on to say.
