Women’s Section of Iran’s Nat’l Quran Contest Continues in Sanandaj

IQNA – Participants in the women’s section of Iran’s 48th National Holy Quran Competition took to the stage for the third day Saturday, vying for the top ranks.

The finals stage of the national Quranic event is underway in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province.

Competitions in the women’s section are being held at the city’s Suleiman Khater Camp.

On the third day, the contenders in the categories of endurance memorization, memorization of the entire Quran for those under 18 years of age, recitation for those under 18 years of age, memorization of the entire Quran for those over 18 years of age, recitation for those over 18 years of age, Tarteel, and choral Quran recitation showcased their Quranic talents.

The National Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, is the largest Quranic contest in Iran, attracting participants from across the country to compete in various categories.

The annual competition, regarded as the most prestigious Quranic event in Iran, aims to promote Islamic values, foster Quranic literacy, and celebrate exceptional talent.
