IQNA – The closing ceremony of the final round of Iran’s 48th National Quran Competition will take place in Sanandaj, Kordestan province, tomorrow, October 27.

The closing ceremony of the final round of Iran’s 48th National Quran Competition will take place in Sanandaj, Kordestan province on October 27.

 

The ceremony, in which winners in different categories are going to be named and awarded, will be held Monday, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) and the celebration of Nurses’ Day.

The Fajr Hall in Sanandaj will host the event, which is expected to be attended by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Abbas Salehi and Head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi.

The final stage began on October 16 with the participation of 330 male and female competitors in 10 categories, during which the men competed in the Fajr Hall and the women in the Suleiman Khater Hall of the city.

During the finals, the first International “Quran of Negel” Congress was held in Sanandaj last Monday with the participation of Kurdish-speaking qaris and memorizers from Iran, Turkey and Iraq.

On the sidelines of this competition, 120 Quran gatherings were held with the presence of 30 distinguished and international Quran reciters in different cities of Kordestan province, which, according to reports, were well received by Shia and Sunni audiences.

The National Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, is the largest Quranic contest in Iran, attracting participants from across the country to compete in various categories.

The annual competition, regarded as the most prestigious Quranic event in Iran, aims to promote Islamic values, foster Quranic literacy, and celebrate exceptional talent.

It is held in different categories, including Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization, and Adhan (call to prayer).

The top winners will represent Iran in international Quran competitions across the world.
