IQNA – Several leading Quran reciters from the Islamic world will be honored at the first Arab-Islamic Media Forum, to be held in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, next month.

Amr El-Leithy, president of the Union of Radio and Television Organizations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, announced that the event will take place on November 19–20, 2025 in cooperation with the Fujairah Culture and Media Association, Sada Elbalad reported.

El-Leithy described the gathering as “a milestone in the work of Islamic media and a platform to honor pioneers in the field.” He added that several distinguished Quran reciters and media professionals from across the Islamic world will be recognized during the event.

Among those to be honored is Sheikh Ahmed Nuaina, Egypt’s newly appointed Sheikh al-Qurra (Chief Reciter).

The forum will also bring together presidents of media organizations, senior journalists, and scholars from various OIC countries.

El-Leithy said the program will include specialized panels and workshops on religious and cultural media, focusing on “the role of media in promoting moderation and balance.”

The Fujairah gathering will coincide with the sixth meeting of officials of Islamic world Quran radios, held under the theme “Spreading the Culture of Moderation through Mass Media.” Participants will discuss ways to strengthen moderate religious discourse and enhance its impact within Muslim societies.
