Int’l Quran Contest for Muslim Students: Officials, Members of Executive Committee Named

IQNA – The chairman, secretary and members of the executive committee of the 7th International Quran Competition for Muslim Students were introduced.

A contender in a previous edition of the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students.

 

Ali Montazeri, the head of the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), appointed the officials in separate decrees on Tuesday.

According to ACECR’s public relations office, Montazeri appointed Mahmoud Aligou, the cultural deputy of the center, as the chairman, and Jalil Bayt Mashali, the head of the Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization, as the secretary of this edition of the international Quranic event.

Also, Mohsen Masjeedjamei, Laleh Shakour Shahabi and Masoumeh Sabour were named as members of the executive committee of the 7th edition.

“It is hoped that with the cooperation of the esteemed members of the executive committee and reliance on God Almighty, the ground will be prepared for the worthy holding of this edition of the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students, and that you will be successful in carrying out your assigned duties,” Montazeri said in the decrees.

The Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization, affiliated to the ACECR, has organized the competition since 2006 with the aim of promoting unity and cooperation among Muslim world students and elevating the level of Quranic activities.

This year’s event comes following six successful editions of the competition, which hosted participants from over 85 countries and had a significant impact on Quranic and cultural engagement across the Islamic world.

The 6th edition took place in the holy city of Mashhad, northeast of Iran, in April 2018.
