TEHRAN (IQNA) – The culture minister of Lebanon said while there is an all-out war against the axis of resistance, including in military and in media spheres, the resistance will remain present on the scene as long as there is occupation.

The first memorial for martyrs of the resistance media was held at the IRIB International Conference Hall in Tehran

Mohammad Wissam al-Mortada made the remark in an address to an event held in Tehran on Monday to commemorate the media martyrs of the axis of resistance.

Wherever there is occupation, there is also resistance, he said, stressing that for all the enmities and attacks, resistance will remain steadfast.

He referred to the sacrifices made by the axis of resistance despite the attempts made by the ‘axis of concession and normalization’, and to more than a century of the Palestinian nation’s struggle on the path of the cause of Palestine and also to the resistance of the Lebanese nation, underlining the need for the continuation of resistance.

He added that along with the war launched against the axis of resistance in the military sphere, the US and the Zionist regime have also been using all means in the media sphere to undermine the resistance.

Al-Mortada also condemned the world’s muted response to the Israeli regime’s attack on resistance media activists that have led to the martyrdom of many of them, including Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.

He further said working on the path of promoting the Palestinian cause and the resistance is a source of honor for media activists.

The Lebanese culture minister also supported the idea of establishing a permanent committee for supporting the media of the resistance.

The first memorial for martyrs of the resistance media was held at the IRIB International Conference Hall here in the Iranian capital on Monday.

It was attended by some 230 family members of resistance media martyrs from Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine and Lebanon.
